Today is International Men’s Day and a chance for us to take a step back from the whirlwind of running a business and celebrate the men in our lives who help make all of this possible. Sue and I are actually more than just a double act – behind the scenes of Hunter HR are two (very patient) husbands who lift us up, cheer us on, and often remind us to take a breath.

I’m quickly learning that running and growing a business comes with late nights, early mornings, unpredictable challenges, and endless to-do lists. Yet through it all, our husbands stand by us with unwavering support. They’re the ones who listen when we talk through new ideas, offer advice when we hit a wall, and celebrate even the smallest of achievements with pride and sincerity. They are both our sounding boards and our partners not only in life but, in many ways, in business too.

We are also both incredibly fortunate to have incredibly supportive Dads – the men in our lives who taught us to believe in ourselves long before our business venture!

And then, of course… there’s Charlie, my gorgeous Cockapoo. Because no matter what happens during my day, I know that I’ll always be greeted with his swishy tail, excitable cry and the offer of unlimited cuddles whenever I need them. Charlie has always been so much more than just a dog to me. He’s my first baby, often my emotional support system, and the best kind of coworker I could wish for.

So today, we celebrate the everyday love, support and never-ending encouragement from all the wonderful men in our lives.

We simply couldn’t run our business the way we do without the support surrounding us at home.
